Letting Go | Print |  Email

Love lets go of the familiar and comfortable
for the Unknown.

In silence, let go of one thing that identifies but limits you: an aspect of your personality; an intellectual, artistic, or athletic skill, etc. See how your attachment to one of these natural strengths may have brought your ego happiness in the past, but is now preventing you from blossoming.

Find opportunities to let go of pride and pet beliefs and say: “I don’t know.” “I was wrong. You are right.” “I believed that…but now my understanding is different.”

Relax and enjoy change. Allow life to work its magic.

Letting go is not complete until it has inspired you into action. You naturally make healthier lifestyle choices. You gravitate towards a lighter diet and relax into your body. In tai chi, this is known as “sinking your chi into the tan tien.” You find your center of gravity (the belly area), then your Center of Levity (the crown).

Every time you reach the point of maximum frustration, know that you are only a belly-laugh away from a breakthrough. Let go of what it is you want to happen. Focus on gracefully surviving each difficult moment—one at a time. Then watch for miracles.

All good things flow to a surrendered soul.

Simple Freedom

Let go of all inner struggles, all traces of madness. When you sleep, imagine that you are in a beautiful place, then surrender to the freedom of your soul. Wake up smiling and singing.

Go to beautiful places where you can feel alone, places that open your heart and stir your magical nature. Follow a butterfly, dance in a field of flowers, climb a mountain. Only you know what can awaken You. Be gentle with your body. Feel the simple freedom of being relaxed, while inwardly you are wide awake.

Give away clothes that do not reflect your beauty. Give away everything that does not add joy to your life. If you deal with obvious burdens one at a time, then your attention will deepen into the magical, powerful present.

To receive, learn to give. The more you give,
the more immortal treasures you’ll find within.

Do not become stressed deciding what you may or may not give up “some day.” Enjoy letting go and freeing yourself.

Make your living space a heaven;
let everything you own make you smile.

If your happiness depends on possessions,
you own disappointments and delusions.
