Have absolute confidence in your abilities to find inspired solutions. The more important the question, the more relaxed confidence is required. Otherwise, your desperation to find an answer will block an energetic shift (the rising of the kundalini). Phrase the question as simply as possible, preferably so that the question can be answered by a “yes” or a “no.” As much prayer and clarity must be put into finding the correct question as in finding the answer. Dreams answer questions we dare not ask. Write the question on a small piece of paper and carry it around in your pocket, wallet, or purse. Allow yourself to create doodle art around the question. Allow your unconscious to speak through your art. Rewrite the question every day—in a slightly different way. Upon waking, at lunch, and before you go to sleep, repeat the question aloud. Do not demand an answer. Simply expect that the answer will come at the perfect time. Enjoy the waiting and the deep peace that comes from knowing that you can eventually find a solution to every problem. Do not share the question with anyone unless you feel inspired to do so. There is no point asking someone for their opinion when you know that the answer must come from within your Self. Sometimes, however, your higher Self speaks through friends or strangers when your ego is in strong resistance. Before sleep, rest your hands on your chest and enter a prayerful, centered, empty state. Smile inside until you find your Source of happiness. Your whole body will feel a warm, healing heat. After saying the question aloud once, silently repeat it a few times while gazing into the middle of your inner vision (the third eye). Allow the purity of your inner focus to turn the inner darkness into light. Remember: What is asked purely, is answered surely.
Humdrum Dreams If you are thirsty while sleeping, you may dream of water. If you are hot, you may dream of fire or being extremely uncomfortable. If you spent all day in a small, noisy room, you may dream of wide open spaces or feeling suffocated. Thus, all dreams are not profound or carry messages that will change your life. Many are simple reflections of basic biological needs—or subconscious reflections of daily events. However trivial, dreams are important reminders that adjustments need to be made in your life. If thirsty, drink water. If you have nightmares, make peace with yourself. Symbolic versus Lucid Dreams Dreams can be literal or symbolic. An example is a dream in which we find ourselves entering an airplane which we know is going to crash. If this is a literal dream, then we better take a train. If it is a symbolic dream, then we need to discover the underlying meaning of the dream. As we become skillful dreamers, the difference between literal and symbolic dreams becomes easier to distinguish. We simply “sense” the difference in the quality or lucidity of the experience. Generally, the more lucid is the dream, the more literal is the dream. If we are lucid, we do not need our higher Self to resort to symbols to communicate to the conscious mind. Trivial Dreams We create trivial dreams that reflect the rambling of our monkey mind. Similarly, we daydream about trivial matters. The mind swings from one branch to another with no conscious purpose. Such dreams do, however, reflect what occurs in our unconscious. If we become conscious of our trivial dreams, the very act of becoming more conscious is the inherent benefit. We see that our mind was wandering into triviality and return it to the silence of our Soul. This opens the third eye. Trivial dreams cannot take us into the superconscious. Instead of seeking the meaning of trivial dreams, see which images come to the surface of your opened third eye. This is clear perception of “what is here.” See what has the power to rise up with the kundalini and present itself at the level of inner light. |
