Sleep Like a Baby Buddha  Email

I recommend this exercise for astronauts of the Soul determined to explore inner space. If you simply want to sleep deeper, or if you have to get up early for work the next day, skip this exercise.

Consciously reproduce the breathing rhythm of sleep (slightly deeper than normal). Do it while meditating with a wall and cushions six inches behind you. Meditate as long as possible in this position, then lean back and continue to meditate when you are too tired to sit upright. Keep focusing with a relaxed yet penetraiting gaze into the Center of your inner vision. Always smile inside so that your whole body feels the healing warmth of your open heart chakra.

Let yourself fall asleep against the wall. As soon as you wake up, sit upright, warm your body by opening your heart chakra, then bring your attention back up to the third eye. Become like Tibetan monks who train themseves to sleep in a meditation position. Through such training, they can consciously leave their bodies whenever they wish.
